What I’m About

color blog.png

Firstly, I drink carbonated water religiously and am always on the lookout for Nargles.

I’m a writer, photographer, and digital calligrapher.  Three vocations that mainly keep me in the wedding industry.

It’s 2019 and I’m a 30 (flirty and thriving) yr. old newbie to the sky-scraping Upper West side of New York City; my husband and I plan to live and adventure here the next 5-7 years.

Keep scrolling to see how exciting my life has been pre-New York.

Currently the song lyric that describes my life is “WELCOME TO NEW YORK, IT’S BEEN WAITING FOR YOU” (Taylor Swift, duh).

For you I’ve provided free marriage resources and (not as free) wedding vow keepsakes. If you look around long enough, you’ll find out I’m rooting for you and your marriage.

Now you know about me, which pretty much means we’re bosom friends. Thanks for dropping by, stay awhile.

I write about….

  • Being Married. Marriage is some hard shit. I talk about it sometimes.

  • Soul Stuff. The deeper stuff of life. Hard things. Beautiful things. The good stuff that goes on underneath the surface and beyond all the pictures. Sometimes this means I talk about my faith.

  • Pop-culture obsessions. If you don't like talking about celebrities, I’m not sure how to talk to you. My pop-culture essays are called “I’ll Have What She’s Having” because that’s the best scene and line from When Harry Met Sally and it’s how I want you to approach my pop-culture posts.

  • My wardrobe. I’m okay at putting on clothes.

  • Home Decor and Space Aesthetics. I love appreciating a pretty, well-designed, tidy space.

  • DIY’s. I’ll try these. You’ll see if I succeed or not.

  • Beauty. Not washing my hair much, but trying to look cute.

  • Old Diary Entries. Get a glimpse into the most dramatic days of my life. Journal entries from elementary, junior high, high school, college, and my adult life.

Let’s go back to the future…

 Our love story

Two awkward people who met in college and fell in love. He shmoozed me with his song covers. I shmoozed him with my hazel eyes. We’ve been married seven years and we’re always learning how to love one another deeper and wider. Nowadays he’s willing to dress up with me like Peter Rabbit and Mr. McGregor. That’s BIG love, mmmkay?
