Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you live in New York City? Are you actually familiar with taking photos in the city?

Yes!  I live on the Upper West Side in Manhattan! Over the past three years, I’ve photographed lifestyle/wedding/editorial sessions in NYC, on rooftops, in city streets, inside dark venues, in cute brownstones, and at the sun shiniest times of day in the Park. It takes a versatile photographer to really know how to work with a variety of different lights and city situations. I’ve got the knowledge and expertise to know how to get fantastic photos. You can trust my experience.

Do you take on clients with mid-size to larger weddings?

Yes I do! I’m a big fan of big parties celebrating your love! I do not charge based on amount of guests, I charge based on the amount of time you want to book me for. The more the merrier.

Do you offer video?

I am both a photographer and videographer and can offer fewer photos per hour if you wish to have an added video component. Videos can be shot horizontally or vertically (for social media sharing), are silent (so you can add your own song when sharing on social media) and are edited by Stacie. Your video will be a short teaser summary of everything that happened that day.

How many photos will I receive per hour?

The amount of photos you receive per hour depends on the package you book. You will be delivered the best of the best photos. While you can save quite a bit of money by eloping, you will definitely want to invest in a photographer who can get awesome photos you can share with the friends and family who were not able to be present at your wedding.

Our venue is dark/our wedding is at night, will the photos look okay?

If your venue is on the darker side, I will bring a flash. I take punchy old hollywood flash photos for some occasions while using a diffuser to soften the light for other occasions. Or a mix of both. If you hate having a flash, let’s discuss if there are any alternative options and what your lighting will look like at your venue..

Do you offer officiant services or know an Officiant?

My husband is a registered NYC officiant! Together we are the married people who marry people. He’ll officiant your personalized ceremony, and I will happily be your witness and take photos! NYC elopement packages start at $2850 and include NYC elopement photography for multiple hours and locations. All packages include a pre-wedding FaceTime or Zoom consultation with both of us, planning assistance with location and vendor selection, permit information, and edited hi-resolution images delivered in an online gallery.

Are wedding albums and prints included in each price?

Custom-designed wedding albums and fine art prints are available a la carte through your online gallery.

Can we legally elope in NYC if we don’t live in New York?

Yes! Any couple — including international couples and out-of-state visitors — is able to elope in NYC.

Are you able to record or livestream the ceremony for family and friends who can’t make it?

Yes, we have a Zoom livestreaming add-on that can be added to any package so everyone who isn’t there can feel like they’re right in the heart of your ceremony with you.

What about Covid surges or what if one of us gets Covid?

If your wedding is impacted by Covid (including you or your fiance(e) getting sick, state or country borders being closed, or government-mandated shutdown), you can transfer your event to another mutually available date within six months of your original date, penalty-free.

Do you have any favorite Locations to get married in NYC?

There are so many affordable spots or free spots. Some of my favorites are in Dumbo, The Highline, Little Island, Fort Tryon, and Central Park. We can discuss this further based on what you envision for your wedding and what you are hoping to capture in your photos. Some may prefer a secluded private ceremony with minimal traffic, while others may prefer a crowded cityscape. We can discuss the right place for your vision.

Will you send me the RAW files of my photos?

The main reason my clients work with me is because of my shooting style, editing aesthetic, and general persona. Your trust in me to pick the best photos of your session is what makes our relationship as photographer and wedding couple so special. If after receiving your photos you feel you still want to experience all RAW photos or you do not like the edits I have made, I do allow clients to purchase and edit all of their RAW files. Purchasing RAW files Starts at $400 per hour.

Can I ask for Re-edits of specific photos?

Of course. I charge $25 per re-edited photo.

How do I get an NYC Marriage license?

Hit up Project Cupid on the NYC government website for all details.

Are you insured?

Yes! I have both liability and equipment insurance through Professional Photographer’s of America and Next Insurance. Your wedding venue might require a Certificate of Insurance from me and I am happy to give them what they need!

Are you vaccinated?

Yes.

What kind of camera equipment to you use?

Photos are taken with a Cannon 5d mark iv, Canon 5d mark iii, Canon R5 mirrorless with 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 20-70mm lenses. For darker indoor moments, I use a speed light flash that can be both harsh and muted depending on the mood and moment. I always bring extra memory cards and an extra camera just in case any equipment ever has an accident or unforeseen failure.

When will I receive my photos?

For Weddings and engagements, you can expect your photos 4-6 weeks after your event. 5 teaser photos will be delivered the week after your wedding.

Cancelling/Weather: Schedule your elopement session closer to the beginning of your NYC visit just in case we have to reschedule because of weather. I’ll reach out if weather is looking problematic 24 hrs. before our session. Weddings can be rescheduled per Stacie’s contract, but a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to make your wedding time and date official on Stacie’s calendar.

Do you airbrush photos?

A good rule of thumb is: if it won’t be there in two weeks, I will edit it out (ie. Zits, pimples, bruises, etc.). If you are looking for body-changing air-brushed portraits, I am not the photographer for you. While I do a lot of work to edit out people or distracting items from your photos (especially in busy city and Central Park), I am also dedicated to keeping your moments as real as possible. My edits apply to the coloring, lighting, and vibes of the photos, and rarely to the changing of faces, hair, or bodies. For up close photos of couples faces, I will smooth faces and lines a little bit.
