NYC Elopements and Micro-weddings

Love is electric in this city.

Having an elopement in New York City* is a total dream. This city is for romantics, both traditional and non-traditional. And having a photographer who knows and loves the city is essential. I champion your love and your story on your wedding day, while also knowing which trains to take and what pizza is worth your time and money.

*I am available for traveling elopements as well.

Customize Your Experience

An elopement in NYC could mean a quiet ceremony in Central Park or it could mean spending hours adventuring through the chaos of the city, taking photos all along the way! For couples who are wanting to adventure in and out of cafes, onto subway and taxi cars, or are hoping to get amazing city views (and permits you’ll need for your ceremony), I can help you curate your list of photo locations throughout the city. For couples who would rather recluse away to a corner of the city where tourists and on-lookers are few, I am able to help you curate your selection of locations as well as point you in the direction of any permits you might need! Whatever you want your elopement experience to be, I’m here for it.

A Couple Who Marries Couples!

That’s right. If you’re in need of an officiant, my husband Brett and I can take care of the photos and the nuptials! He’ll officiate (he’s a licensed New York City officiant! It’s legal!) and I’ll be your witness (if you decide not to have any friends and family attend)! All you’ll need to do is set up your marriage license through the courthouse. There’s a bunch of great info here at Project Cupid regarding marriage licenses in NYC! After you fill out our in-depth wedding day questionnaire and sign our contract, we will also set up a thirty minute zoom consultation before your day to talk through both your photos and your ceremony plans.

Set up a consultation

I totally get it. It helps to get to know someone and to ask all the important questions before committing. Isn’t that what dating is? Let’s go on a virtual date so you can ask any questions you have and so we both can get a feel for whether or not we vibe.

Weddings

Whether you’ve planned a huge shindig or an intimate elopement, your Wedding Day is worthy of celebration and BIG JOY. Your wedding is your turn to be on the Party Planning Committee with Angela and Phyllis (this is an Office joke, sorry not sorry) and you planned the most intimate celebration of your love. I want to honor your hard work by taking the best damn photos you could dream of.

It’s a day that revolves around both big and small moments between you and those you love most. And I’m just there to quietly help you remember each of those moments after your celebration is over.

Your wedding is a day you need dependable people around you in every way, from your ride or die wedding party to your vendors. And that’s where I come in. I get to photograph it all both artistically and journalistically. I’m there to photograph the visual aesthetic you’ve designed for your day as well as all the moments you share with your spouse and party guests.

It’s a joy to invest in you and your people. Investing in your closest relationships for the day is just as important to me as creating the right lighting for every moment. Your guests will know I’m the photographer, but they’ll think we’ve been friends for decades. This is the kind of relationship I care about creating with you in the weeks or months leading up to your wedding. When I photograph weddings, I honor your timeline and work with you to create a wedding schedule that actually gives you room to breathe and have all the photos you hope for.

And my weddings are for all. All ethnicities, sizes, sexual orientations. Your love is worthy of being celebrated and I would be honored to visually capture your day.

Let’s book a consultation to discuss your wedding needs. Wedding photography starts at $3,000. I am available to travel to weddings in and outside of the Tri-State Area.

For Non-Traditional Couples

I absolutely love a non-traditional couple, and believe we would make a great collaborative team!

Awhile ago, I made a choice to never shoot another wedding as a traditional/vanilla/cookie cutter wedding photographer. I made a choice instead, to bring the art of photography into a wedding space to electrify and funkify a couples’ love story.

If you are into an editorial vibe, slower paced, moodier-edited, off the beaten path type of wedding photographer, I’m the girl for you.

Artistic editing means you get crisp portraits and posed moments intermixed with blur, hard Hollywood flash, with modern and vintage edits. Cinematic edits meets moody moments.

If you are able to let loose and be silly, I’m for you. If you aren’t, I’m really good at getting you there for your photos.

I take photos that are both punchy and organic.

I am especially for extreme non-traditionalists…. Bohemia meets formal. Nerdy or Geeky weddings for Lord of the rings fans and Game of Thrones fanatics. Vintage meets a hot dance floor. Anything but white. Silent Disco meets Victorian era venue. Dried flowers on your veil meets your four hour reception. Irreverent moments. Silent discos and elegant dresses.

I’m for anyone who loves any era but this one. Anything but a bouquet of flowers. Hyped dance floors and crazy lights.

I’m for you if you are excited to take photos in your lingerie the morning of your wedding, partying like a boss. I’m for you if you still pick the fun white dress (or tux) with pops of colorful eye shadow.

I’m for you if you decide on wedding karaoke even though your guests will sound terrible. I’m for you if decide to serve anything but cake.

I’m for you if you boast Silly sunglasses or sport irreverent styles.

Let’s make funky forevers, okay?
