You’ve put a lot of work into your wedding day.
YOUR WHOLE LOVE STORY IS ON DISPLAY TO BE ADORED AND CELEBRATED.
I get the deeply beautiful weight this wedding day or wedding weekend carries for you. Your home team is showing up to cheer you on and gaze upon your love (and probably to have several beers in your honor).
Everyone is showing up for you.
Me too. I'm there—- celebrating, photographing, and advocating for you. I'm there, with a laugh-filled goober-induced personality, a kind eye, a gentle persona, and a FIERCE camera, ready for every second of it. Even the part where I’m not taking pictures because your grandma needed someone to grab her some punch. I’m there filled to the brim with joy to capture your wedding and to tell you how good looking you and your fiance are (ALL DAY I STALK YOU WITH MY CAMERA AND TELL YOU HOW GORGEOUS YOU ARE— IT’S THE BEST.)
I know, because I’ve been a bride before. Seven years ago I walked down the aisle (barefooted because I’m a rebel and shoes weren’t my thing back then). We received our wedding photos six weeks after our wedding and sat down together to cry through, laugh at, and examine, in pure joy, the moments we had forgotten. To this day, I love looking back at the uniquely adoring way he gazed at me on our wedding day. I look back at our best friends from near and far GETTING LIT on the dance floor. I look back at moments my guests were having I didn’t even have the chance to witness in person. My heart skips a beat when I look back at our wedding pictures. They remind me of how far we’ve come. And how excited we were then to spend our lives together.
